Welcome to Sunstate. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. What Sunstate is

Sunstate is an independent, unofficial countdown and companion app for an upcoming open-world video game. Before the game launches it shows a live countdown, a curated feed of publicly confirmed facts written in our own words, and confirmed-news cards. At the game's launch the app activates a personal 100%-completion tracker (for missions, collectibles, and challenges) with an original-art "where-to-find" map assist. The completion tracker is described as activating at the game's public launch; until then it appears as a preview.

2. Unofficial — not affiliated

Sunstate is unofficial. It is a fan-made companion and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to the game's publisher, its development studio, or any of their affiliates. We make no claim of official status or partnership. Sunstate uses no third-party game titles, company names, studio names, or logos. Any references in the app are to publicly announced factual information only — such as a release date, platform names, and a publicly confirmed setting and characters — described in our own original words. All trademarks are the property of their respective owners.

3. Facts only — fair use

Sunstate presents only non-copyrightable factual information — such as the announced release date, platform names, and publicly confirmed setting and characters — described in our own original words. Sunstate contains no copyrighted artwork, logos, screenshots, maps, characters, or other assets from the game or its publisher. All artwork in the app is original and created by us. Our use of factual information is intended as fair reference for a companion utility; it does not reproduce protected expression.

4. One-time purchase ("Sunstate Pro")

Sunstate is free to download and the free tier is fully usable. Sunstate offers a single optional upgrade, "Sunstate Pro," a one-time purchase of $7.99 (USD, or the local equivalent set by the App Store).

All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. Purchases are subject to Apple's Media Services Terms. Refund requests are handled by Apple under its standard refund policy; we cannot issue refunds directly.

5. Acceptable use

You agree to use Sunstate only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the app, and not to misuse its content feed or services.

6. Content accuracy and changes

Sunstate's facts and news cards reflect publicly available information at the time of writing. Release dates, platforms, and other details about an unreleased game can change at the publisher's discretion. We update the feed as new public information emerges, but we do not guarantee that all content is complete, current, or error-free. The app and its features may be updated, changed, or discontinued over time.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

Sunstate is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the tracked game will release on any particular date.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, Sunstate. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
